GLOSSY BOX OPENING | NOVEMBER 2018

Well hello there!
As you all know I like to un-box the Glossy Box subscriptions every month so this month is no different, and this month is the Beauty SOS box. It contains 5 essentials that will come to the rescue for the party season so lets get in to it...

In my opinion possibly the best thing we have ever received in a box, I have never tried anything from Huda so I was very excited to see this. I was expecting them to include a non everyday colour but I was wrong because it's a beautiful colour, on me it is a browny nude shade. I have tried this and I absolutely love the formula of it so this get's a massive thumbs up from me. They are super expensive at £18 but if the formula is good then it is worth it.

This is a two-in-one cleanser which I am really looking forward to trying because I take my makeup off with a wipe and that is really bad for your skin. Using professional microdermabrasion crystals, this will gently exfoliate, polish and purify your skin. It will also leave your skin leaving skin feeling soft and hydrated. I don't know about you but this sounds amazing and considering the full size product is worth £26.74 this must be good! It is a deluxe mini but it gives you a real chance to try it out before buying the full size.

I was also very excited to see an eyeshadow palette in the box because this could come in handy for someone as it is just before party season. This is super travel friendly as it is extremely light weight, small and compact. Bonus is that it retails for only £9.99 so you won't exactly be breaking the bank either if you wanted to buy it. I personally love the colour story of this palette, it is basically shades I am always drawn to. It has 2 perfect matte crease shades and the rest of them are shimmers which are perfect for the festive season!

Yourgoodskin Balancing Skin Concentrate
This product has a combination of green tea and vitamin c to help improve skin texture, moisture, radiance, oiliness and skin tone evenness in just 28 days. I have never heard of this brand before but you can get it in Boots and this product sounds amazing. I am looking forward to giving this a go, this is a deluxe mini so I'm hoping I have enough to last a month. The full size £16.99 so not super expensive but if I like it I will be definitely picking up the full size!

Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment
I still am not really one for hair masks but this one says that this will restore damaged hair, cuticles and moisture levels. Which to be honest I need something like this for my hair at the moment, my scalp is real dry. After you shampoo you need to apply a generous amount from your roots to your ends, leave on for 5 minutes then rinse. It sounds simple enough so maybe I should give this a go and let you know what I think!

Extra treat - ChloƩ Perfume Sample
So Glossy Box have kindly given us an extra treat this month and it is something I love - perfume! I love the original ChloƩ and I received a Nomade sample. The description of the smell is a fresh and feminine fragrance of classic rose, sensual and chic. I absolutely love it! Definitely putting this straight in my hand bag.

So that is the November Glossy Box Opening, if you are interested in signing up for Glossy Box you can here. Also it's been a year since I've been doing the Glossy Box posts which is crazy!
Thank you so much for reading,

HOW TO GET PREPARED FOR THE PARTY SEASON | AD

Well hello there!
Today I have a VERY exciting post because it is actually in collaboration with Panasonic for their new range of Epilator Panasonic. I am going to be giving you some tips on how to get ready and prepared for the party season which is not far away at all.

Body Care
Being a woman, we like to shave parts of our body to keep them nice and smooth for the party season. Panasonic have recently unveiled a range of Epilator which will do just the job to get rid of any hair that you don’t want on your body, you can check this out here
The new Panasonic system harnesses the latest technology in hair removal to provide stress-free treatment that will result in longer-lasting smoother skinI would recommend using an Epilator for the party season so hair is not constantly coming back like with a regular razor. They can be painful (depends on the person) but the results are worth it! I would also suggest keeping your body moisturised because the winter season can tend to dry out your skin. If you like to fake tan for parties I would recommend Bondi Sands because it does no streak at all and the colour is perfect.

Skin Care
As I live in England December is in the winter so as mentioned it can make your skin more dry. I would suggest exfoliating your skin (no more than twice a week), and moisturise your skin morning and night. On top of this stick to your regular skin care routine to make sure you skin stays beautiful all winter. If you have acne prone skin like mine I would really recommend Sudocrem to get rid of blemishes that randomly show up. You can also buy hydrating primers and setting sprays to further keep your skin healthy looking. Face mask are always a great idea to revitalise your skin, and you might want to get out the lip scrubs and balms because you're going to need them!

Nails
If you're like me and go to a salon to get your nails done, you will be already sorted for this. However if you do your own nails, definitely pick up the most beautiful and glittery nail varnishes. I usually paint my toe nails the night before the party so they are fresh and won't chip. I always go for a silver glitter shade for the Christmas party season just because it will go with everything!

Buy outfits in advance
When it comes to party season choosing what to wear for a party can be quite stressful if you’re like me, and leave everything to the last minute. It would be a good idea to filter through some websites for the type of clothes/shoes/accessories that you want way in advance to the party date. Also I would budget yourself for how much you want to spend on a complete outfit, because if left to the last minute you want to make sure you have the money to do so.

Makeup
This is obviously my favourite part of getting prepared for party season, is making sure I have all the makeup products I need for a going out makeup look. I would go through your collection to see if you need any back ups to products that may be running out, just so you don't run out the night of getting ready (we've all been there). Or even look through and see what products are missing, maybe a glitzy glam eye shadow palette you've had your eye on and fancy treating your self?!

Most importantly - HAVE A GOOD TIME! Enjoy yourself and have some fun, you won't regret it.
So that was my tips and advice on how to get ready for the party season, again thank you to Panasonic for sponsoring this post.
Thank you so much for reading,

MY 1 YEAR BLOGGERVERSARY...TIPS & ADVICE

Well hello there!
So today is exactly 1 year since I started my blog which I cannot comprehend because time has seriously gone so fast. I just thought for today's post I could share some tips & advice for starting a blog as I pretty much threw myself in the deep end with it. I also want to share with you what I have learned throughout this past year as I have definitely learned a lot!

Let's start from the beginning, the reason I started my blog was because I love makeup so much and I also really love writing, so I just combined the 2 and thought it would be a great idea to share my thoughts on the internet about new products and things I was loving. I was so so nervous about starting and it took me a long time to finally take the plunge but I am so glad I did it now.

I have 100% learned a lot throughout the past year and I would love to give you some tips:
1) The Blogging Community - omg the blogging community are some of the nicest people that I have come across online. I have actually met a fellow blogger and we are very good friends now.

2) Interaction - make sure you interact with as many other bloggers as possible on social media, the more love you give out the more you will receive.

3) Being Active - now I don't mean physically I just mean on social media in general. Whether that's commenting on someones blog post, replying to a tweet or liking someones Instagram photo.

4) There's no right or wrong - the amount of times I would stress about not getting a post out on a certain day, there are no rules as to how many times to post a week/month. Make it your own thing and post whenever you want to!

5) Don't feel guilty when you need time off - if you need to take a break from your blog don't feel bad about it, everyone deserves and needs a break sometimes.

6) You are good enough - there has been times where I felt like I was never good enough to be a blogger because of the amount of other people that are so good at it. You ARE good enough! Everyone has their own little space on the internet to do whatever they want with it. Even if 1 person likes my posts that's a good enough reason for me to keep going!

7) Brands - collaborating with a brand can be a very exciting thing. Just watch out for the sneaky ones that will say that they want to collab, but really they're just giving you a discount code to buy one of their products and then ask you to promote it - that's not collaborating.

8) Success - this does not come over night and you need to work hard for it.

9) Scheduling social media posts - if you work full time then I would definitely recommend this, I use Buffer. I have only started doing this but it has helped me out massively.

Some advice if you are wanting to start out:
1) Stop caring about what other people may think - this was the main reason for me not starting my blog sooner, and I wish I started it way before I actually did.

2) Start it now - the longer and longer you put it off the more you will think about it, just go for it!

3) Be yourself - show your personality through your writing and be proud of your content.

4) Write about what you're passionate about - never write a half hearted post on something you don't love, people love to read content you are proud of.

5) Social media - try setting up an account dedicated for your blog or incorporate your blog on accounts you already have. For example I have an Instagram Page for my blog and I have my personal one. It's just another way for readers to reach out to you!

So those are some tips & advice about starting a blog! If you have any more you would like to share, then please feel free to leave them in the comments.
Thank you so much for reading,

OCTOBER FAVOURITES

Well hello there!
October flew literally by I cannot believe it is nearly November, we can finally start getting excited for Christmas woop woop!! I can't wait to tell you about some more makeup items that I have been loving, more high end products this time which is different for me.

I am sorry to my fellow UK makeup lovers because we can't actually get this in the UK, but I absolutely love this loose powder. Before I tried this I only believed in high end loose powders because any drugstore powder I tried always clung to my dry patches. However, this has changed the game! This powder makes my skin look soo smooth and soft and what makes it even better is that it is drugstore. I use this all the time and I am so gutted I can't just go to Superdrug and pick a new one up. The best part about this is that it retails for $7.99 which is around £6, so they need to start stocking this in the UK ASAP!

You know me by now...I LOVE highlighters, its my favourite step in my makeup routine and believe me when I say I have well over 30 highlighters in my collection. What I love about this highlighter is the formula of it, it's quite unique and much different to my other ones. First of all it hasn't got any kick back which means there is no mess with it, and the formula is very soft and does not seem that pigmented when you apply it. However, when it is applied it has such a pretty glow to it. If you love soft and glowy highlighters that aren't in your face then you will love this formula. These are very expensive at £19 but it is a big pan size and I think it is worth it.

I have been using this constantly for over a month now, I received it as a 21st birthday present a couple of months ago and it was just sitting in my draw. When I started using it I just suddenly fell in love with it, the pencil is so so easy to use and it glides on so smoothly. Takes me less than 3 minutes to do my brows just so I can lightly fill them in for work. I love the pencil shape as it is slightly slanted tip to make it more precise when applying, and bonus is that this lasts on your brows for ages! Don't get me wrong this is hella expensive costing £30 and I personally would't buy it myself, but it is a very good eyebrow pencil. If you can't afford to spend £30 on an eyebrow pencil then don't buy this, but if you're looking for a new high end brow pencil then I recommend checking this out.

When my parents went to America in the summer I HAD to ask them to pick up the famous Tarte Shape Tape concealer. It's fair to say that I completely understand the immense hype with this product, the coverage is amazing. I was worried about it being too drying as it is a thick formula but that's not the case at all. I have been using this everyday and don't get me wrong this is an expensive concealer BUT it is completely worth it. If you get the chance to buy this then 100% pick it up because you will not regret it, especially if you love full coverage concealers.

So those are my October Favourites, hope you all have a wonderful Halloween and watch lot's of horror films (I know I will be!).
Thank you so much for reading,

REVOLUTION PRO FULL COVER CAMOUFLAGE FOUNDATION REVIEW

Well hello there!
Today I have another review post for you and this is for the Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Foundation. Revolution Pro is part of Revolution Beauty so this is indeed a drugstore foundation and retails for only £7! This claims to be a highly pigmented and creamy foundation, it will create maximum coverage with an even, natural-looking finish. Let's see for ourselves!

Packaging
This foundation comes in a squeezy tube and this already makes it a good product to travel with, the black sticks with the theme of all of the Revolution Pro products which I like as it looks very sophisticated. It feels very lightweight which again makes it very travel friendly, and it is quite a small compact tube so you won't need to worry about it taking up too much room in your makeup bag. It does hold 25ml of product which is slightly less than a normal foundation amount but because of the price you can't really complain about that.

Application
The first thing I notice when applying this foundation is how easy it is to blend, as long as you don't use too much of it, it will blend out beautifully on your skin. It does have a semi-matte finish so it definitely has a shine but it is not completely dewy, I already know that this might effect the longevity of it on my oily t-zone but we shall see. It is a very pigmented and opaque product and a little goes a long way with this. The first layer has a good medium coverage to it, and you can build this up to full which is what I prefer a foundation to do because then you can control how much you are putting on.

Longevity
As mentioned this is a semi-matte formula and I knew this was not going to be long lasting on me. I have definitely tried other foundations that don't last long that were worse than this, but this did not last as long as matte foundations e.g. the Maybelline Super Stay Foundation. It's just a fact for me that if the foundation is not completely matte when applied my oils will start to come through a lot quicker. I tested this for around 10 hours so I put this on at 7:30, by the early afternoon my oils started to peak through and by the end of the day my t-zone was completely oily.

Opinion
So what is my final verdict on the Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Foundation?! I love the formula of the foundation itself, it is super creamy and pigmented - it can be built up to full coverage as well so I do agree with this claim. It is full coverage in a way where it is not drying at all like some matte foundations do, it is semi-matte so I generally think people with dry skin will love this. The only thing I do not like about this is that it does not last long on my skin, but that was a given considering it isn't a matte foundation. I probably won't wear this to work again but 100% I will wear this on the weekends and when I know I won't be wearing foundation for a long period of time, even on a night out! What an absolute bargain for a foundation that has a formula like this, I would recommend this to someone who wants a full coverage foundation that is not drying/matte.

Well hello there!
Today I have an extra post for you and that's because I have very kindly been nominated to do The Autumn Tag by the lovely Leah Saffron, definitely go check out her blog!
1) What is one candle you MUST light every Autumn?
I don't really light candles myself as my parents tend to buy them for the house, but I definitely think I should get a Yankee Candle this year that has an autumnal scent like the Luscious Pumpkin one.
2) When you think of Autumn, what does it remind you of?
Autumn reminds me on crunchy leaves, chunky knit jumpers and big coats/jackets.
3) What is your all-time favourite Autumn/Halloween movie?
I love horror films so any horror film, my favourite ones the The Conjuring and Insidious.
4) What Halloween costume do you have in mind?
I am having a party at my house this Halloween and I am going as Kill Bill!
5) What is your favourite Autumn trend?
I really like Chelsea Boots and they were super popular last year! Also I love jumpers with faux fur on them, I need to get more of them
6) When you think of Autumn, what drink comes to mind?
The famous Spiced Pumpkin Latte from Starbucks, I have never tried it before so maybe I should give it a go this year.
7) What is your go-to fall beauty product?
A nice berry toned lipstick!
8) Do you prefer apple or pumpkin pie?
Neither! I don't like sweet pies
9) Do you have any Autumn traditions?

GLOSSY BOX OPENING | OCTOBER 2018

Well hello there!
Today I have the Glossy Box opening for October and as you can imagine the box is Halloween themed. There are 2 different boxes this month, one is trick and one is treat. I believe there are a couple products that are different, but they are still from the same brand. I got the 'Trick' box, I will let you know what products were slightly different from the 'Treat' box. It looks like the box is makeup related this month which makes sense so let's dive in!

The most exciting thing this month is that you get a full sized Illamasqua lipstick! I have never tried anything from this brand before, I'm not too keen on the shade (Energy) as it is purple but this is perfect for Halloween hense why it is in the box. It says that the cushioned finish glides effortlessly onto your lips for a semi-matte finish. I love a semi-matte lipstick so this is definitely up my street! I believe the treat boxes got a bright pink shade. These lipsticks retail for £20 and the box costs only £10!

We have had a Sleek eyeshadow palette in a Glossy Box before so its good to see another one, this one is more wearable then the one before. I am going to try this one as it has neutral shades in it, and I do not have a lot of neutral palettes in my collection. Again this is a full size product and has pigmented, long-lasting and mineral based shades to cover all bases from smoky to daytime looks. There are mattes and shimmers in this palette so you can create a lot of looks from it, and the shades feel super soft so I am looking forward to playing around with them. This of course is drugstore so it retails for only £8.99!

This is a mask, moisturiser and primer all in one. It has the powerful blend of repairing plant oils, hyaluronic acid, argan and starflower oils plus a hit of caffeine results in a revitalising formula. It says that its a perfect way to erase the signs of fatigue, boost hydration and to prep your skin for make-up. Well this sounds pretty good to me! I have quite a lot of primers in my collection and this is definitely different to my usual primers, so I'm looking forward to seeing what this does to my skin. This deluxe mini is worth £17 and the full size is £35 which is crazy money.

Luna By Luna Cosmetics Translucent Powder
This is a cruelty-free loose powder that will set your makeup to keep it nice and smooth for hours. It has a lightweight formula that will soak up excess oils while softening fine lines, and will hide your pores. I don't know about you but that sounds like a good loose powder to me, the only thing that worries me about white powders is that it might flash back. I will 100% be testing this out and if it is any good I will be letting you know. I only have a few loose powders in my collection, 2 of them are high end so this has a lot to live up to! This isn't the cheapest loose powder as it retails for £17 and it is not the biggest container either.

MUA Luxe Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit
I was personally really excited to receive this as I am very familiar with the brand and have a couple of their products. This is vegan and cruelty free and it is a 2 in 1 compact which is so good for travelling, it comes with a bronzer on top and a contour shade on the bottom. The bronzer has a little bit of shimmer in it which I like because I don't have a lot of shimmery bronzers in my collection. I am so excited to try this, my box come with the medium/dark shade so I went out and bought light/medium and gave the other one to my mum. The 'Treat' box come with the Strobe & Glow Highlight Kit. These are super cheap so they retail for only £5 which is so good for a 2-in-1 product.

So that was everything in the box this month, the sneak peek for next month is a full-size liquid matte lipstick from Huda Beauty - I am so excited!! I don't own anything from this brand. If you want to sign up for Glossy Box, you can here.
